We are a faith based organization working with indigenious peoples, predominately in the Guadalajara region of Mexico.
Becca and I are committed to serving the people around Lake Chapala and up in the Sierra Madre mountains. We have been bringing school supplies, blankets, shoes, baby clothes, holding medical clinics, providing health education and girls hygeine kits, and finding clean water solutions, for 9 years. The need for clean water has come to the fore front as the most pressing need in disadvantaged communities.
Becca has a small sewing co-operative and has designed and makes reusable menstrual pads. They are sold to fund giving them to local schools and subsidize pads going with those on mission trips. They are sold under the name of Bela Femenina and a pattern and instructions for Alivio Pads are available.
Leading teams of 10 or more people to meet the needs there has also been a big part of the work. Hope House boys home and La Ola girls home are other wonderful ministries we have been privileged to help grow by service projects and direct support, specifically through these Canadian teams. Let us know if you have a team you would like to bring and we will get you all the details and costs.
We have recently moved to the area in order to meet this need head on, however, we can’t accomplish this worthwhile ministry on our own: we need your help. Please consider donating monthly or one time, to help us empower the disadvantaged in Jalisco.
Always, in everything we do, we seek to share the love of God in Christ to all those we meet. Your support is greatly appreciated!
