This phrase adroitly explains an exciting new construction project underway along the border of Uganda and Kenya, in which a new 4,000 sq. ft. medical facility, now under construction, will meet the great challenges in the healthcare sector.
This new medical clinic being constructed in the border town of Busia, Uganda was scheduled to open by the end of 2015, however financial setbacks have pushed that date back and we are hopeful it was be completed during 2017.
Medical care is not easily accessed in the area, as many patients have no transportation to the nearest city. Built along the Tororo Road, the medical clinic will meet the needs of hundreds of villagers for basic medicines, blood tests, and maternity services.
This substantial structure will provide an adequate facility for visiting doctors and nurses. With the help of professional volunteers, many medical services will be delivered, free of charge. For now, progress depends on the work of volunteers and donors to finish the construction.
We invite you to participate in the completion of the clinic this year!
