Chickens
Chickens are a valuable source of nutrition. The protein in eggs is the highest quality protein found in any food, as well as an excellent source of choline - an essential nutrient that contributes to fetal brain development and helps prevent birth defects. Beside the nutritional benefits, the raising and selling of chickens and eggs can provide an ecomonic benefit.
Deep Well
Did you know that if the average distance to the moon is 394,400 km, African women together walk the equivalent of a trip to the moon and back 16 times a day to supply their households with water?
The saddest part of this is the water they bring back is usually contaminated and carries with it all kinds of disease.
With a well in the community, not only is the drinking water much safer, the physical demand on women is lessened immensely and they can spend more time on income generating activities.
